P2C is a police department specific web application that is designed to enable High Point residents to receive incident and accident reports directly from the website and print them out at home. The intent is to reduce the need to visit the police station to pick up a report. In addition, recent activities, arrests, and mapping functions are available through P2C, and the website also allows individuals to submit a report for non-emergency crime.

What type of underlying soil do I have on my property?

Using the City of High Point Internet Mapping Service, anyone in the city can zoom into their neighborhood and display soil types.  One must understand that the soil map is derived from interpolated soil samples.  Because of this mapping method, the existence or coverage of a soil within a single property cannot be assumed.  Only soil samples physically taken within a property can determine actual content.

Do I live in a FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) Flood Zone?

Using the City of High Point Internet Mapping Service, anyone in the city can zoom into their neighborhood and display FEMA Flood Zones.  By identifying the flood zone, one can determine if they are in the 100 or 500 year floodplain.  Users must understand that the flood maps were derived from national data sources at very small map scales.  Thus, actual flood zone boundaries can only be determined through approved site surveys.

Do I have wetlands in my neighborhood according to the National Wetlands Inventory (NWI)?

Using the City of High Point Internet Mapping Service, anyone in the city can zoom into their neighborhood and display NWI landcover which includes wetlands and a basic landcover classification.  Users must understand that the wetland maps were derived from national data sources at very small map scales.  Thus, actual existence of wetlands on any particular property must be determined through an approved site survey.

What is the elevation of my property?

Using the City of High Point Internet Mapping Service, anyone in the city can zoom into their neighborhood and display 2ft. and 10ft. contour lines.  The elevation of the surface can be determined by identifying an individual line.
